We’re a woman-owned small business based in Chicago, rooted in a love for global artistry, thoughtful design, and slow fashion. We partner closely with artisan teams in India to create our exclusive Txtile pieces—handmade, small-batch goods that blend traditional craftsmanship with fresh, modern style.

Most of our pieces are made using repurposed materials, giving new life to fabrics that might have otherwise gone to waste. It’s one of the many ways our artisan partners continue to lead the way in sustainable, intentional fashion—and we’re proud to support their incredible work.

Meet Our Founder

Hi, I’m Erin — the founder of Txtile. I’ve always had a passion for travel, and my favorite part is wandering through local markets, meeting makers, and discovering the stories behind their craft. Txtile was born out of that love for connection and handmade work.

I believe slow fashion is a journey, not something that happens overnight. It begins with one intentional purchase, and little by little, those choices grow into a more mindful way of living and shopping.

Vintage Fabrics

All of our jackets start with Kantha quilts—textiles that have been around for centuries in India and Bangladesh. Traditionally, they’re made by layering old saris and fabrics together with a simple running stitch, creating something totally unique with tons of character.

We work with small artisan teams in India who carefully transform these vintage quilts into new, wearable pieces. The result? Every jacket comes with a story, handmade details, and a one-of-a-kind look you won’t find anywhere else.
